Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you might want to know about TravelTracker: pricing, what you can track, privacy practices, supported platforms, and more.

How much does TravelTracker cost?

TravelTracker has two plans. Explorer is free forever and includes up to 10 trips, 200 MB of photo storage, 5 journal writing prompts, and trip sharing. Adventurer is $9.99 per month or $99 per year (saves approximately 17%) and unlocks unlimited trips, unlimited photo storage, 20+ premium journal writing prompts, and trip collaboration with other users.

Is there a free version of TravelTracker?

Yes. The Explorer plan is free forever and does not require a credit card to sign up. You can track up to 10 trips, store 200 MB of photos, log visits to countries, US states, cities, 400+ US national parks and historic sites, and 1,248 UNESCO World Heritage sites, and share trips with friends and family.

What is the difference between Explorer and Adventurer?

Explorer (free) limits you to 10 trips and 200 MB of photo storage and gives you access to 5 journal writing prompts. Adventurer ($9.99/month or $99/year) removes those limits: unlimited trips, unlimited photos, 20+ premium journal prompts, and trip collaboration so multiple users can co-own a trip and contribute together.

What platforms does TravelTracker support?

TravelTracker is available on the web at traveltracker.me, on iOS and iPadOS through the App Store, on Apple TV through the App Store, and on Android through the Google Play Store. All platforms share the same account and data.

Does TravelTracker track me or use analytics?

No. TravelTracker is privacy-first by design and does not use third-party analytics, pixels, advertising trackers, or attribution tools. We do not sell user data. The only data we collect is what you choose to log (trips, photos, locations, and journal entries) and account information needed to operate the service.

What can I track with TravelTracker?

You can track trips, journal entries, and photos, plus visits to countries, US states, US cities, 400+ US national parks and NPS-managed sites (including monuments, battlefields, seashores, and historic sites), 1,248 UNESCO World Heritage sites, extreme geographic points, and original wonders of the world. You can also add custom locations.

How many US national parks does TravelTracker include?

TravelTracker includes 400+ NPS-managed sites in the United States. This covers all 63 designated US National Parks, plus hundreds of national monuments, battlefields, seashores, recreation areas, and historic sites managed by the National Park Service.

Can I share my trips with other people?

Yes. Every plan, including the free Explorer plan, supports trip sharing through secure shareable links. You can optionally set an expiry date, and the share page is publicly viewable without requiring the viewer to have an account. Adventurer plan users can also co-own trips with other Adventurer users for full collaborative editing.

How are photos stored?

Photos are stored on our secure cloud infrastructure and served with multiple optimized variants (thumbnail, small, medium, large). Explorer users get 200 MB of photo storage; Adventurer users get unlimited photo storage. Important: TravelTracker is not a backup service. Please always keep your own copy of any photos you upload. We are not responsible for lost photos.

Can I cancel my Adventurer subscription?

Yes. You can cancel your Adventurer subscription at any time. On the web, cancellations are handled through Stripe. On iOS and Android, cancellations are handled through Apple App Store or Google Play subscriptions, respectively. After cancellation you retain access until the end of your billing period and then revert to the free Explorer plan.

Is the annual plan worth it versus monthly?

The annual Adventurer plan is $99 per year versus $9.99 per month ($119.88 if paid monthly for a full year), saving approximately $20.88, about a 17% discount versus monthly billing.

Does TravelTracker work offline?

No. TravelTracker requires an internet connection to use. The web app, iOS, iPadOS, Android, and Apple TV apps all need to be online to load your trips, photos, and journal entries. Offline support is not currently available.
